Celui-ci découvre qu’elle possède un don rarissime : son sens du goût, tellement développé qu’elle peut ressentir les sentiments que le cuisinier a tenté d’insuffler à sa création. Il décide donc de la recommander auprès de la prestigieuse école de pâtisserie Sainte-Marie.
