In 52 B.C., the Chieftain of the Arveni tribe, Vercingetorix, united the Gauls in a major revolt against the power of the Romans. This is his story, beginning with his rise to power. In one of the tribes, he rescues the 11-year-old Taranis, the only son of a Gallic hero who was executed by the Romans. Taranis follows Vercingetorix as he raises his army to fight for the freedom of Gaul.

An order has been sent out to hunt down Asklepios, a Greek demon god of medicine, whom the Church believes is practicing unorthodox methods. A member of armed forces group assigned to this mission by the name of Luca encounters two kids who saved him when he was injured during a fight. Who are these kids, and can they help out Luca with his personal reason for doing this assignment?

Kain is a story about a blue-eyed boy wandering the countryside. He happens to be in a town controlled by "kidoushi." These kidoushi are people from the newborn country of Ren, who have a machine in their body, giving them power equal to an army. The power of the kidoushi is determined by the amount of gigai (the machine) taken up in their body.
