Since his Digimon has a hexagon shape on him, it's an Illegal Digimon, meaning that Digimon bearing such symbols can help save the Digital World. Tsurugi's Greymon later De-Digivolves to Agumon and they meet other characters destined to save the Digital World from the forces of Barbamon. Now they must stop Barbamon and his minions before they get all the DigiMemories and take over both worlds.

Une série de suicides suspects attire l'attention de la police. En effet, dans une zone résidentielle, pas moins de vingt-cinq morts sont recensés pour un seul bâtiment. L'inspecteur Yamagawa et son équipe enquêtent, et finissent par comprendre que le tueur ne s'intéresse pas aux personnes qu'il tue, mais seulement au bâtiment et aux personnes qui y vivent. Autre détail étrange, chaque mort a perdu un objet particulier (bague de famille, montre, etc.). L'enquête progresse, mais peu de temps après, Yamagawa se suicide à son tour.
