C'est une surprise, car les hommes ne sont pas choisis comme invocateurs, en raison de leur quantité de mana, bien faible en comparaison des femmes. Étant le premier mâle à devenir invocateur, il est surveillé par la plupart des gens.Pour compliquer les choses, sa sœur (qui est mage d'armes) s'oppose à ce qu'il intègre une école d'invocateurs. En effet, invocateurs et mages d'armes sont comme chiens et chats, car les invocateurs considèrent les mages d'armes comme inférieurs. C'est donc en toute logique que sa sœur s'oppose à ce qu'il intègre cette école. Elle l'arrêtera, même si cela revient à une déclaration de guerre.Toutefois, Kazuki est déterminé à intégrer une école d'invocateurs et à y prospérer, et il est près à tout donner pour y parvenir. Même si il est le plus mal classé des étudiants (rang E), et que ses camarades étudiants ont l'intention de le rabaisser, il veut devenir le plus puissant des invocateurs.
