Un jour, l'esprit saint Okikurumi est dérobé au village d'Atsuma, ce qui plonge les esprits connus sous le nom de Kamui dans le chaos. Habité par l'esprit d'une ancienne épée, Atsuma doit ensuite quitter le village afin de récupérer Okikurumi. Lors de son périple, il rencontre l'organisation NOA, une organisation de jeunes gens maitrisant les pouvoirs des Kamui. Ensemble, ils vont devoir se dépêcher de retrouver Okikurumi avant que le monde ne soit détruit.

Kaoru thought that high school was boring. And then he met Kaname and Yuta. Kaname and Yuta are trying to start "The Creator's Club", a club with creation of all sorts of unusual inventions as its aim. The club's formation is opposed by Kaoru's reticence to make up numbers, and the school council president's obstinate nature. With the aid of hard work, cheeriness, and sheep, Kaname, Yuta, and a somewhat bemused Kaoru set about changing her mind.

Kusanagi Kasane est une jeune lycéenne, mais également une kendoka extrêmement réputée et talentueuse. Après avoir disputé un tournoi où elle va facilement écraser ses adversaires, elle trouvera, dans la rue, un katana, juste avant de se faire renverser de justesse par un camion… Mais ce katana est bien plus mystérieux qu’il n’y paraît, car Kasane se retrouve, juste après l’accident, projetée à l’époque Sengoku, à une période féodale où les conflits militaires sont quasi-constants et où l’illustre Nobunaga Oda connaît une importante montée en puissance.
